User Exts

I took a short glance through the manual and I didn't see any examples of adding to the User Exts screen. I'm thinking that's a easy place to add a custom layout for 3D printing.

It would look a lot like the run/path screen, but with a couple indicators that show when the build area is up to temperature. In my setup, these are all controlled externally, but I have macros that wait until specific inputs are triggered.

Is there a specific section that has the steps necessary, chapter 15 doesn't talk much about the User Exts screen. But do I follow the same steps generally?

Yes, that is the approach. The user exts screen is just a page in the MSM screen set fike. Follow chap 15 and use machscreen to put whatever you like on the user exts page. The primary advantage of the user exts screen is that it's already in the screen set so it's easy to alter.
