Problems to load a previously saved Tool Table file

Post by orbscan »

Hi Dave,

when I try to load (with the button "LOAD") a Tool Table file (previously saved using the button "SAVE AS") I get:
Error on line: 1309 - Type mismatch

Thank you for help.

Best regards
Carlo

Hi Carlo,
1) what version of MSM?
2) what version of mach?
3) have you upgrade MSM between when the tool table was saved and when you tried to reload it?
(i.e. I'm looking for a case where it was saved by one version of MSM and loaded by another).
4) please email the tool table file you are trying to load to me so I can look at it

Looking at the Tool Table file -

Hum, what language version of windows are your running?
What is the windows version? (XP, vista, W& etc) and is it 32 or 64 bit?

Darn, there is a bug here... it appears that some code that is supposed to be international number format aware is not working as documented. I'll have to set up a non-US test system to debug this fully and find a fix.

In the mean time, attached is a fixed version of your tool table that will load correctly with the current MSM version you have. That will let you use the tool table while I work on a fix.

Until I fix this, for Italian PC systems (and others that use the same combination of decimal and digits separator characters), the tool table file save as is creating a file that Load can't read.

Once you load the fixed file (attached), you can use the "Save" button and it will be ok. That button saves mach's internal table to mach's storage location, so that the next time you start mach you get the saved table. The only problem is the MSM conversion of mach's internal table to an external file...
