MSM Beta Release 1.3.6

Post by DaveCVI »

<Apr 23, 2012>
Hi,
MSM 1.3.6 beta has been posted.
This has one change to fix the problem where a Z- probe to a mobile touch plate would refuse to run because a probe tool was not mounted.

MSM Beta Release 1.3.8

Post by DaveCVI »

<Apr 25, 2012>
Hi,
MSM 1.3.8 beta is now available.

This release adds two requested features:

• Implemented MSM support for a GCode editor utility. This replaces the mach gcode editor that is configured in the mach general config menu (which is no longer used by MSM). This was necessary as Mach can not pass command line parameters to the Gcode editor and that prevented the use of editors which use command line switches.

If you have a GCode editor configured for mach, you will need to point MSM to your preferred editor. The mechanism is the same as that already used by MSM for the PDF and the non-Gcode editor.

• Added a “Big Path” run page to MSM Turn and Mill-Turn.

MSM Beta Release 1.3.9

Post by DaveCVI »

<Apr 26, 2012>
MSM 1.3.9 beta is available.

One minor change:
Corrected DRO series used on the new Big path pages for Turn and Mill-Turn to match the other Turn and Mill-Turn pages. This will only have an effect in some rare cases; the Coord DROs across pages are consistent now.

MSM Beta Release 1.3.11

Post by DaveCVI »

<May 4, 2012>
Hi,
MSM 1.3.11 beta is available for downloading.

Two changes since 1.3.9:
- Fixed a bug where MSM asked for the hte GCode editor path (if it was not configured) at start up instead of waiting until the editor was actually used.

- Reworked the installer to change from "mill + Lathe options" to "install Mill or lathe Options". This makes it easier to install just the lathe features without the mill features.

MSM Beta Release 1.3.12

Post by DaveCVI »

<May 6, 2012>
Hi,

MSM 1.3.12 beta is now available.

This release has one significant change:
The TLO=WCZ0 Tool Change ALTO option has been removed and the Documentation has been updated to reflect this change.

For info leading up to the decision re this former feature you can see this thread:
http://calypsoventures.proboards.com/in ... thread=261

Removing a feature always poses a bit of a testing problem; it's hard to test for the impacts of a feature that has been removed...

This beta release will "season for a bit", and if no problems are reported, this will likely become MSM release 2.0. So you can consider this as MSM 2.0 RC1 (release candidate 1) if you prefer that terminology.

MSM Beta Release 1.3.13

Post by DaveCVI »

<May 16, 2012>
Hi,
MSM 1.3.13 beta is not available.

This release fixes the bug where the gcode editor could sometimes not save edited changes because mach had the file opened exclusively.

MSM Beta Release 2.0.4.2

Post by DaveCVI »

<Aug 23, 2012>
MSM 2.0.4.2 beta has been posted.
This beta has some fixes for bugs that have been corrected in Mach. Therefore this release also should be used with Mach 3.43.66 which was also released today.

Mach 3.43.66 is available from the Mach download section of the CVI site or directly form the Machsupport.com site.

Because of the brand new mach release, and the dependency of this MSM beta release on the new mach version, this is being released as an MSM beta until more experience with the new mach release is acquired.
