Hi.
When I try to start my mill I get this message: "Emergency Mode Active".
And the history info. display:
---Program Startup
---MachStdMill initialized
---command Killed due to buffer error.
I am running Windows 10 with a Smooth stepper.
What can be the cause and how to fix it?
All help will be much appreciated.
Regards sivtek
Hi,
The scrolling Press Reset...Emergency mode active ..." display is a message from Mach. It's telling you that that Mach is in estop mode. Typically mach starts up in that mode and
on most machines, one has to press the reset button to get out of estop mode. If that does not leave estop mode, the estop hardware input is active and you'll have to figure out why. This probably a hardware issue with your estop logic.
The "command killed due to buffer error" is not a MSM message and I don't know where that comes from.

sivtek,
I am experiencing exactly the same problem. Have you managed to figure out what was causing your issue?
