WC offset page has many issues

Post by Daveg1 »

I am having big problems trying to use features on the WCO page. Rather than going into detail; I would like to know if releases after my installed V2.0.12 PRO have fixed problems on this WCO page. I don't want to go through the big problems I had the last time doing the activation if later releases did not fix problems on this page. It is possible that I am doing something wrong to cause WCO page problems!!
I have MSM V2.0.12 PRO, Mach 3 V3 R3.043.066 and Vista Business SP2 last updated about a year ago.

Hi,
From what you posted, I'm uncertain as to what problems you were experiencing. To assist you further I would need to know what problems you are referring to.
BTW, to see what changes are in what releases, you can download the latest release notes from the CVI web site and look thru them - we publish a pretty detailed set of release notes. Your license allows you to install and use MSM releases up thru 2.2.1 and installing an update (of a version you are already licensed for) does not require reactivation. You're welcome to try out the later release.
re Mill-turn bugs: I am unaware of any problems with the mill-turn facilities. That doesn't mean there couldn't be a bug hiding in there, just that I don't have any open bug reports related to mill-turn.

Thank you for answering with a very informative reply! I might try the latest MSM release that my license is good for. However, from your answer; I don't think that will fix any of the random problems I have experienced. They were likely the result of my mistakes. I am having fewer problems as I learn how to use the WCO page.
I have read the release notes several times over the last couple of weeks and I think that I may have experienced one or two of the mach bugs. The large number of bugs that you have documented is rather mind boggling! That is why I stated my question without providing examples or details. Your answer is just what I needed to know.

I am having a repeatable "experience" in the way MSM displays the Z WC current position and TLO after I set a new Z 0.00 position using the Z touch-off arrow. I think this needs to be asked under an new topic such that the topic subject fits the question. Therefore, I will open a new topic.
