Re: probing a tooling ball

Thanks Dave. I need X,Y and Z but that shouldn't be too difficult to get. Just wanted to make sure I was on the right track. Still getting random overshoots with my UC300 and C32 BOB. I have two machines that do the same thing. Every 15 or 20 probes it will overshoot. I'm at the point where I just k...

probing a tooling ball

Should I just use "Circular Post Center Probe Operation" and fiddle with the extra probe depth?

Never needed to probe a sphere before.

Thanks

Re: M4 compiler error

Hi Dave My S word has always been separate. The errors I posted were during a G84 tapping cycle. MDI and spindle toggle has always worked for me. There have been times with an oem screen set where the spindle didn't start and I just clicked the spindle button and it turned right on. You know how it ...

Re: M4 compiler error

Hi Dave. It's an intermittent problem. Yea we love those! It's happening during a G84 cycle on the M4. This time. In a few weeks it may be the M3. I created the profile through the mach loader and I haven't modified the M4 or M3 macros. Ran it half a day today with no errors. After doing a bit of di...

M4 compiler error

Hi Having some issues with M3 and M4. Mach is blowing right past it. This is happening on two different machines with the same mach version. .056 The error I get is "Scripter compile error in M4.M1s." Although this is probably mach related, since it's a MSM macro that is causing problems I...

Re: Warning probing still broken on the UC-300

The TLO for the probe will depend on the TLO scheme you are using. IF you are using Master tool Mode and the probe is the master tool, then it's TLO will be = 0 (as the master tool's TLO is always 0). But if you are touching toof tools to a surface then the Probe will have a non-zero TLO and since ...

Re: Warning probing still broken on the UC-300

No The problem lies in that I'm an idiot:) Somehow I ended up with a -.75 tool offset loaded for the probe tool. I removed it by calling up another g43# and then loaded the probe which has 0 offset and it's working fine. I'm assuming (hoping) that was the problem? You know it's not the price of they...

Warning probing still broken on the UC-300

I did a ton of Z axis probes with the UC-100 and had no problems. Just got my new Tormach probe and was using it in my mill with the UC-300 and it did the same thing as lat time. Went to find the Z surface and just kept going even thought the probe indicator was lit. Back to the drawing board:( I'm ...
