In my case it was a broken wire, from the Z limit switch. Hard to find and hard to believe.

I have tried what you say. I have a suspicion the "command killed---" come from the SS installation?

I did not save the file. Saved the file and it is OK again!
(Did not have to save before, when closing notepad a message appeared asking if I wanted to keep the changes).

No, I am using build 1709. Wonder if is the Mach3 or the SS causing the problem? Maybe I should start by trying to reinstall Mach3.
